Sensex lifeline: high beeps and pratfalls
Jet Airways (8.8% up)
Jet Airways shares gained 8.8% to Rs398. The company said it saw some demand recovery in the second quarter, when load factor stood at 80.6%. It is awaiting approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board to raise funds.
PTC India (7.9% up)
PTC India Ltd shares rose 7.9%. The firm has gained 15% since it posted results. It plans to list PFS, a 77%-owned subsidiary operating as an non-banking finance company, in fiscal 2011. PTC says the board has given its nod for fund-raising.
RCom (2.5% down)
Shares of Reliance Communications Ltd lost 2.5% on Wednesday. Concerns came after the gap between financial statements and revenue data given to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India widened.
Sesa Goa (7% up)
Shares of Sesa Goa Ltd gained 7% after the management said it had not received any notice from the Serious Fraud Investigation Office for alleged siphoning of funds. It said it will “fully co-operate" in the event of any probe.
Crompton Greaves (6.3% up)
Crompton Greaves Ltd shares were up Rs21.55, or 6.35%, after it reported good results. It posted consolidated revenues of Rs2,190 crore (up 4.6% year-on-year), and profit after tax of Rs193 crore (up 60% year-on-year).
Hexaware (11.3% up)
Hexaware Ltd gained 11.3% after falling nearly 20% on the previous day. The firm reported net profit of Rs41.3 crore in the third quarter, against Rs39.5 crore in the June quarter, exceeding expectations.
