The chart shows that net revenues of the 24 firms that have been in the Sensex since 1997-98 have increased as a percentage of GDP at current prices.

Similarly, it also shows that net revenues of the 282 companies that have been in the BSE-500 Index since 1997-98 have also gone up as a percentage of GDP at current prices. In other words, these big companies now constitute a much larger portion of the economy than they used to in the 90s. This could be taken as a trend towards increasing concentration in the industry.
