Coal India asked to meet production target for current fiscal
Buoyed by the output growth of 9% by Coal India Ltd, the government has asked the company to ensure that it meets the target of 550 million tonnes (MT) for the current fiscal, reports PTI. The company, which accounts for over 80% of domestic coal production, is eyeing an output target of 1 billion tonnes by 2020.
