New Delhi: Information on various insurance products is now just a click away with private insurance broking firm Optima Insurance Brokers today launching a web portal for this purpose.
The portal, Click2insure.in, will help customers compare various products and options before purchasing any product.
The firm’s internet retail venture will mainly cater to information on non-life insurance products like health, motor, medical and home.
“With the launch of the portal we are aiming 2 lakh customers within one year," Optima Insurance Brokers CEO Rahul Aggarwal said.
However, it will not sell or advise on unit-linked insurance products as “they are difficult to compare", Rahul said, adding that it will provide the option to purchase products online as well.
The company plans to invest around ₹ 20-25 crore for the further expansion in areas like IT, infrastructure as well as creating offline presence for supporting online initiatives, he said.
It is planning to expand mainly in smaller areas as the acceptance level is very high in these areas. It would open around 250 offices catering to growing insurance needs of customers.
