Axis Bank Ltd was the biggest underwriter in terms of domestic bond issues in the first three months of 2008, while Deutsche Bank AG topped in terms of domestic initial public offerings. The two findings are part of the Bloomberg League Tables released by Bloomberg Finance Lp. According to the tables, State Bank of India, India’s largest lender, topped in terms of being the mandated arranger for domestic loans, while Citi topped in terms of foreign currency convertible bonds.
