Mumbai: The rupee gained marginally against the US dollar on Wednesday as dealers sold the US currency in the later part of trading, expecting continuing foreign inflows into the local stock market.
The rupee ended at Rs.54.84 per dollar, up from Monday’s close of Rs.54.95 per dollar. It recouped its losses after touching an intraday low of Rs.55.10 per dollar.
The 30-share benchmark Sensex ended at 19,417 points ,up 0.84% on BSE Ltd.
