Sensex ends higher; heavy machinery stocks rise
Mumbai: A fag-end buying placed the benchmark Sensex over 20 points higher on the Bombay Stock Exchange on 25 June on the back of heavy machinery stocks.
The Sensex ended higher by 20.36 points at 14,487.72 as most of the heavy machinery stocks such as Larsen and Toubro and BHEL notched up handsome gains. It touched the day’s high of 14,521.62 and a low of 14,424.71 points.
The second wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also rose by 7.35 points at 4,259.40, after touching the day’s high of 4,264.25 and a low of 4,236.30 points.
