Mumbai: PVR Group will invest around Rs300 crore in the next five years for launching Entertainment City models in different parts of the country, including cities like Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and the NCR.

The first PVR Entertainment City will open to the public at the Logix City Centre, Sector 12, Noida, within the next 30 months. This will host a 15-screen multiplex cinema with four Gold Class theatres, a 24-26 lane bowling alley, an Olympic size ice skating rink and food courts with casual restaurants, food kiosks.

Spread over 1.2 million sq ft of area, the Noida Entertainment City will see an investment of Rs50 crore.

Apart from bringing in the Entertainment City format, the Group is scaling operations in the south Indian territories. “There’s more to south India than just Bangalore and we are aggressively going to tap the market there," confirms Pramod Arora, group president, PVR.

PVR will be introducing 50-60 screens by the end of the year and a majority of these will be in south Indian cities. Some of these include tier two and tier three cities like Nellore, Warangal, Trichur, Panjagutta and Mysore. Some of the other places where PVR will map its presence include Dhanbad, Bhilai, Nanded and Jabalpur, to name a few.
