Large steel screens have been installed to ensure the privacy of residents. Those living along the bridge connecting Grant Road station to the new skywalk, however, aren’t as lucky. 3/6Five radial roads pour into the Nana Chowk intersection, making it a traffic-heavy junction. 4/6This statue of philanthropist Jagannath Sunkersett was a bone of contention on the day of the skywalk’s inauguration. Bharatiya Janata Party volunteers demanded funds for the beautification of the statue. 5/6Babubhai Patel, 80, has been working at the Khadi Gramodhyog Handicraft Depot for close to four decades and has no intention of using the skywalk. 6/6A resident of Girgaum Chowpatty enjoys an evening stroll on the skywalk a day after its inauguration. He is thankful that the skywalk offers a cleaner space to stroll in, and fewer people to jostle against.
