A look at which countries are spending the most on their defence. Source-Bloomberg 1/51- The United States- The B-2 Stealth Bomber in California. 10% of US govt’s spending is on defence, with $640.2 billion spent on defence in 2013. The US military’s biggest advantage is its fleet of 19 aircraft carriers. AFP 2/52- China- Munitions on display at a military post near Beijing in April 2013. China’s military spending has gone up substantially over the past two decades, with 8.3% of govt spending on defence. The country spent $188.5 billion on defence in 2013.
