For Moammar Gadhafi, justice probably flows through his mouth. On Monday, the Libyan dictator made a series of fantastic declarations: that Al Qaeda was to be blamed for the crisis in the country; that his people loved him, and would die to protect him (they would, just not of their own free will); and that he couldn’t step down, because he had nothing to step down from. A different place and time, and these words might have been comic. But as Libyans have found out, there is little difference between Gadhafi’s mouth and the barrel of a gun.
