Energy | Fire at Indian Oil’s Digboi refinery kills two

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corp. Ltd, the nation’s largest refiner, said a coker unit at its refinery in Digboi in Assam was on fire. The fire was under control, spokeswoman Anshu Mahajan said by telephone from New Delhi on Wednesday.
Two people were killed in the fire, Mahajan said.

Indian refiners may lose Rs15,000 cr in FY10
New Delhi: India’s state-run refiners, including Indian Oil Corp. Ltd, may lose Rs15,000 crore from selling fuels below cost in the year to March 2010.
The estimate of revenue loss is based on current crude oil prices, oil secretary R.S. Pandey said in New Delhi on Wednesday.
