New Delhi: A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized the Communal Violence Bill drafted by the National Advisory Council (NAC) , the Congress party on Friday attacked the BJP by calling it a ”pernicious propoganda to try and kill the initiative.”
“Those who continue to be proudly bound to the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh)...those who carry the shame of Gujarat and Karnataka, they are naturally going to be worried by this bill,” said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi.
Earlier on Thursday, BJP leader Arun Jaitley wrote in an article on the party’s website said that the bill if “ever enacted as a law will inrtude in the domain of the state, damage a federal polity of India and create an imbalance in the inter-community relationship of India.”
