Central Railways to run 64 special trains for festive season

Mumbai: Central Railways will run 64 special trains to clear rush travellers during the forthcoming festive season of Christmas and New Year.
Forty six special trains will run between Dadar and Karwar, beginning 16 December till 6 January. The halts will include Ratnagiri, Nandgaon and Madgaon among others, said a Central Railway press release on 8 December.
Eight trains are scheduled to run between Dadar and Ernakulum, beginning 15 December to 9 January. Madgaon, Karwar, Ambola, Tellicherry, Mahe, Tirur and Trichur will be major stops among others.
Ten special trains will run between Dadar and Kochuveli from 10 Decemberto 12 January. The halts on this route will be Kudal, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Udipi, Alwaye and Kollam.
Reservations for these trains will begin on 10 December, the release added.
