New Delhi: Delhi joint commissioner of police Karnal Singh, who is leading the probe into the serial bomb blasts in the Capital that killed at least 21 people on Saturday, said on Sunday the police had no information on the suspect terror group that calls itself the Indian Mujahideen.
“Prior to these emails (sent in connection with serial blasts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Delhi), we have not encountered this group before. We are yet to understand where they operate from or what their methods are,” Singh said.
He, however, added, “There is a definite connection between the Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Delhi blasts, as the pattern and the explosives used are similar.”
The police are yet to announce any arrests in connection with the explosions. Singh declined comment on media reports about suspects having been detained in the Capital.
