Sunanda Pushkar case: CBI probe being looked into, says Rajnath
Rajnath was replying to a letter by Subramanian Swamy, who had requested an SIT probe on the case
New Delhi: The demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the death of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, was being “looked into", home minister Rajnath Singh has said.
“I am having the matter looked into," he told BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who had written to him requesting him for an special investigating team (SIT) investigation headed by the CBI into the death of Pushkar.
The body of 52-year-old Pushkar, an entrepreneur who had married Tharoor in August 2010, was found in mysterious circumstances in a luxury hotel in South Delhi on 17 January last.
