Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday reshuffled the portfolios of its deputy governors, the central bank said in a release.
Rural credit and urban cooperatives will be handled by Usha Thorat, while Shyamala Gopinath will handle payments and settlement. Subir Gokarn will handle human resources and personnel. K.C. Chakraborty, who handled these areas till now, will continue to oversee information technology, customer service and inspection. As the deputy governor in charge of rural credit and cooperatives, Thorat will steer the financial inclusion drive.
