New Delhi: About 6.45 lakh students across the country appeared for the All India Engineering Entrance Test today which passed off smoothly.
“The exam was smooth and peaceful,” Rama Sharma, spokesperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education which conducts the test, told PTI.
Students qualifying in the test will be eligible for admission into different engineering institutes, including the National Institutes of Technology.
Over 72,000 candidates appeared for the test at 96 centres in the capital. Students seemed happy and relaxed after the test.
Students appeared for three papers: physics, chemistry and mathematics, with each containing 40 objective-type questions. There has been a change in the question pattern since last year. Earlier, one paper used to have 75 questions.
The 6.45 lakh students included about 45,000 aspirants for the bachelor in architecture course.
