Karunanidhi to start election campaign on 5 April
Karunanidhi will tour Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Myladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Trichy in his campaign
Chennai: M. Karunanidhi, the chief of the Dravida Munnetra Kazgham (DMK), will commence his election campaign for the Lok Sabha polls from Coimbatore on 5 April.
His son and party treasurer M.K. Stalin started his election campaign from Kanyakumari on 14 March.
Karunanidhi, 89, will end his campaign in Central Chennai on 21 April. Karunanidhi will tour Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Myladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Trichy in his campaign.
Tamil Nadu has 39 Lok Sabha constituencies and will go to the polls on 24 April.
DMK has struck a pre-poll alliance with smaller local parties Viduthalai Chiruthaikal Katchi, Indian Union Muslim League, Manithaneya Makkal Katchi and Puthiya Tamizhagam.
