BJP members meet FM, oppose direct tax code

Although the party favoured the reforming of the 50-year-old income tax system in the country, the opposition party delegation, which met Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, dubbed the proposed tax code as a “blind pursuit of ideas borrowed from the West." The delegation comprised Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, among others.
