Reliance to commence KG gas supplies by April
Mumbai: The country’s most valuable company, Reliance Industries Ltd, will begin supplying natural gas from its largest find located in the Krishna Godavari (KG) basin in April, oil minister Murli Deora said.
The company will deliver 40 million cubic metres a day to meet gas shortages faced by urea makers and power producers, Deora told lawmakers, according to an emailed statement from the oil ministry on Wednesday.
The government also plans to double the number of cities receiving natural gas supplies in the next four months as the nation’s largest field is poised to begin production in April.
