With Iowa Obama moves to 207. McCain to win Utah and Kansas and still trails at 95.
He earlier won in Pennsylvania and Ohio - both states that were key to John McCain’s hopes. No Republican has ever been elected president without capturing Ohio.
McCain adds five electoral votes each with his victories in Utah and West Virginia. That gives him 80 in all.
Democrats are adding to their Senate majority. Among the Democrats re-elected to Senate seats are Tom Harkin in Iowa and Max Baucus in Montana.
Republican Thad Cochran won re-election in Mississippi.
