New Delhi: A day after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley asked for the resignation of Press Council of India chairman Justice (retired) Markandey Katju’s for an article in a newspaper against Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, his party on Monday launched a fresh attack on the PCI chairman. Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said: “I am convinced he (Katju) does not deserve to be the chairman of an important body like the Press Council of India. He should be dismissed immediately. There is no point in asking for his resignation.” Katju, while retaliating, accused Jaitley of making “reckless” allegations and asked him to quit politics.
