New Delhi: The government on Wednesday said it will table the finance commission’s report on Centre-state revenue sharing model in Parliament on 25 February, a day before presenting the Budget 2010-11.
Economic Survey of the government and the thirteenth finance commission’s report on the Centre-state revenue sharing model will be tabled in Parliament on 25 February, finance secretary Ashok Chawla told reporters on the sidelines of a book-release function here.
The Budget session of Parliament will start from 22 February, while the Budget would be presented on 26 February after the Railway Budget, which is to be presented on 24 February.
The finance commission had submitted a report to President Pratibha Patil recently where it had discussed the model for revenue sharing for the period 2010-11 to 2014-15.
Recommendations of the commission will be reflected in the Budget, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee had said earlier.
Chawla also pointed out that the government would not borrow more than the target of Rs4.51 lakh crore for the current fiscal.
