Hong Kong: New cases of human swine flu were confirmed across Asia on Sunday, with Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia and India finding more people with the virus.
Hong Kong found three instances of swine influenza, bringing the total in the city to 33, the health department said on Sunday. South Korea’s government said one person was confirmed with the disease, bringing its tally to 47. Australian cases rose by 15 to 1,035.
The World Health Organization says 21,940 cases, including 125 deaths, have been reported in 69 countries.
India’s first human-to-human case of swine flu was reported on Saturday in Hyderabad, taking the total to eight in the country.
