Coal scam: CBI files fresh FIR
The agency filed the FIR, the 23rd in its probe into coal block allocation, against a Madhya Pradesh-based company
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a fresh first information report (FIR) against a Madhya Pradesh-based company in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities related to allocation of coal blocks.
In its 23rd FIR in the probe, the agency has alleged criminal conspiracy and abuse of official position on part of the company, its directors and unknown members of the 36th Screening Committee in relation to the allocation of the Thesgora B/ Rudrapuri coal block, people close to the matter said.
“It is alleged that screening committee deliberately did not follow the guidelines and showed undue favour to the company," the CBI said.
Searches were conducted by the CBI at Indore and Satna in Madhya Pradesh.
