Negotiations for the Lokpal Bill to tackle corruption are entering the final leg. While initially the government and the civil society had some common ground, subsequent weeks have seen the rift widen. In fact, in the last one week, both sides spoke out against each other publicly. Meanwhile, the Union government on Saturday announced that it plans to call for an all-party meeting to discuss the issue.
