MMRDA approves new Mumbai metro routes worth `35,400 crore
The board also approves `1,089 crore for infrastructure development in Kalyan
Mumbai: Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) approved 118km of new metro routes worth ₹ 35,400 crore for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
These projects were cleared during MMRDA’s board meeting on Wednesday which was chaired by the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Besides this MMRDA board also approved plan to develop international financial centre (IFC) over 20 hectares of land in the new business district of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The board approved expenditure of ₹ 95 crore for the development of IFC.
The board also approved a proposal to develop Kalyan, a Mumbai satellite town, as a new growth centre and approved ₹ 1,089 crore for infrastructure development in the area.
