CBI wants AIIMS to re-examine Batcha records
New Delhi: The CBI is planning to approach the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for constitution of a board of doctors to reexamine post-mortem report and other medical records of Sadiq Batcha, who died in mysterious circumstances. Wrong to deny bail to 2G scam accused: Jaswant
New Delhi: BJP leader Jaswant Singh has virtually gone against his party line and questioned the manner in which DMK MP Kanimozhi and other 2G spectrum scam accused have been denied bail. Speaking to CNN-IBN Singh said that bail can’t be denied while the trial in the case is still on. He further said that putting the accused in jail is affecting investments in India. (read story)

Batcha’s death was murder, not suicide: CBI
New Delhi: A top CBI official has disclosed that, prima facie, the death of Sadhick Batcha, a close associate of jailed former Telecom Minister A Raja, appears to be a case of murder not suicide as the local Chennai police had claimed. The agency’s assumptions are based on the close scrutiny of the ’scene of crime’ and other circumstantial evidence collected during investigation.(read story)
