Chandigarh: The Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation (HARTRON) on Wednesday announced that it has plans to construct three state-of -the-art IT complexes in the state.
The project, estimated at Rs250 crore, will be spread over an area of about nine acres of land and will be based on the Design-Finance-Build-Operate-and-Transfer (DF BOT) model.
The complexes would be located at Electronics City, Sector 18, Gurgaon, and Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon, said P K Chaudhery, Haryana financial commissioner and principal secretary, Electronics and Information Technology.
Chaudhery further said that it was expected that by 2010, Gurgaon would have the potential to employ around four lakh people in Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) and other sectors and that the state would attract an investment of about Rupees two lakh crores.
The proposed IT complexes, which would be in close proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport, would have a built up area of 7,00,000 sq. ft excluding basements.
