New Delhi: The World Trade Organization (WTO) has named India’s deputy permanent representative in Geneva, Ravi Bangar, as head of the working group on trade, debt and finance. The working group will study the interplay and impact of debt and finance on world trade and submit its report to the general council, a WTO statement said.
Meanwhile, Muhamad Noor of Malaysia has been appointed head of the general council. Australia’s Bruce Gosper has been named chairman of the dispute settlement body, while Finnish Vesa Himanen will chair the trade-policy review body.
