Sabharwal named next envoy to Pakistan

New Delhi: India on Monday named Sharat Sabharwal, currently special secretary in the ministry of external affairs, as the country’s next high commissioner to Pakistan.

He will succeed Satyabrata Pal as high commissioner and is expected to take up the assignment shortly, the ministry said in a release on its website on Monday.
