Delhi day temperature to drop further amid rain, snow in J&K, Himachal
Strong Western Disturbance expected in North India from Wednesday onwards
Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand could witness rain and snow at several places in the next two three days days due to a strong Western Disturbance expected in North India from Wednesday onwards.
With the arrival of the weather system, night temperatures may rise while day temperatures that are already below normal may drop further.
The maximum temperature in Delhi may begin to fall from Wednesday onwards and stay below normal for the next two days. The day temperature in Delhi capital on Monday was recorded at 17.6°Celsius which is likely to rise marginally on Tuesday due to clear sky.
In other parts of North India, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh in Punjab observed below normal maximums on Monday. Ambala, Hisar, Karnal and Narnaul in Haryana, also recorded below normal day temperatures. Night temperatures in these places are also below the normal.
Places such Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh saw the maximum temperature drop 3-4°Celsius below normal on Monday due to clouds. Kanpur recorded a maximum of 14.3°Celsius, which is 8 °Celsius below the normal.
Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Kota in Rajasthan are also witnessing below normal day temperatures. The maximum temperature recorded in Kota on Monday was 17.3°Celsius, which is 7°Celsius below the normal.
