New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday questioned the transfer of Delhi’s chief electoral officer Aam Aadmi Party “just days before" assembly polls.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said Deo was transferred especially when all parties found him honest and independent.
“Why has Vijay Deo, chief electoral officer of Delhi, been transferred just before elections? Esp wen all parties found him independent n honest," Kejriwal tweeted.
Dev has been transferred to Chandigarh as the advisor to the UT administrator with the ministry of home affairs (MHA) approving his transfer.
Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) issued the posting order of the 1987-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Dev on 15 December.
As per the order, Dev has been posted as the adviser with immediate effect.
