New Delhi: India on Monday approved 18 special economic zones including by group firms of Bharat Forge and JSW Steel, the federal commerce ministry said.
JSW Bengal Steel, a subsidiary of JSW Group, plans to set up a tax free zone in West Bengal, while leading auto component maker, Bharat Forge, plans a multi-products SEZ in Maharashtra, the ministry said in a statement.
The Board of Approvals (BoA) granted formal approval to 18 SEZ proposals and gave in-principle nod to 10 tax-free zones.
