Revised auto fares in Mumbai, suburbs in force from Monday
Mumbai: The revised fares for auto rickshaws in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) will come into effect from 17 October, sources said on Saturday.
There will be separate fares for the auto rickshaws that run on petrol and on CNG.
Large bags with exception of briefcases and handbags, will be charged 50 paise per unit.
Commuters can register their complaint against auto rickshaws on toll free number 1800220110, official sources said.
In Thane city and Mira Bhayander area, auto rickshaws plying on CNG will charge ₹ 11 upto 1.6 km and ₹ 7 per km onward.

For autos playing on petrol outside Thane city and Mira-Bhayander, the minimum fare will be ₹ 15 for 1.6 km and later ₹ 9.50 per additional km, while each large bag will be charged ₹ 2.
