Dengue crisis: Delhi govt to set up clinics providing free treatment
These clinics will be supplemented by door-to-door visits by party volunteers to make people aware of steps to prevent mosquitoes from breeding
New Delhi: Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said that it was setting up clinics in Delhi where dengue patients will be treated free.
The decision was announced by the party’s Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey in the presence of many private medical practitioners who have volunteered to treat patients at these clinics. Initially, 30 doctors have stepped up to offer their services.
Party volunteers will inform the public about the location of these free clinics. The doctors will decide the time when they will be available to treat and counsel patients and their attendants.
These clinics will be supplemented by door-to-door visits by party volunteers to make people aware of steps to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. The volunteers will also distribute phone numbers of malaria inspectors and other officials.
