New Delhi: Last week, US Airways Flight 1549, taking off from a New York airport, ran into a flock of birds and had to make a crash landing on the Hudson river.
Our guest this week on Just to Clarify is Dr. S.P. Govindaraju, a former faculty member in the aeronautical engineering department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Dr. Govindaraju got his M. E. in aerospace engineering from IISc in 1964 and his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 1970. He joined IISc as an assistant professor and retired recently as a professor.
