New Delhi: On the completion of one year of UPA government in its second term, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Monday said the UPA’s agenda for its second term seeks to strengthen the pro-people policies and programmes initiated by the government since 2004.

In his speech while addressing the press conference, he said the government’s flagship programmes such as the Bharat Nirman, the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, the National Rural Health Mission and the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission are progressing well.

Prime Minister admitted in his speech that more could have been done for the growth of the nation.
