Patna: The CPI-ML (Liberation), which will contest 82 Lok Sabha seats across the country, will not support the UPA or Third Front, party sources said.
The party would be playing the constructive role of an opposition in Parliament voicing its concerns for labourers, farmers, pro-US policy and Nuclear Deal, party general secretary Dipanker Bhattacharya told newsmen here while releasing the party manifesto here on Tuesday.
Of the 82 seats, the CPI-ML (Liberation) will contest 22 seats in Bihar in alliance with CPI and CPM, he said.
The party has given 22 seats to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe candidates besides 12 to SC/ST in general category seats, Bhattacharya said.
In a reflection to the party’s demand of Women’s Reservation Bill, nine women candidates has also been fielded, he said.
