Flight operations at Indian airports were not disrupted as fog did not materialise due to the strengthening of winds. Here is a forecast update on fog and other weather conditions for the major airports of India.
Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi
The weather at Delhi airport will be flier friendly. Winds have gained speed, reducing the possibility of dense fog. Thick mist will be seen and it will be sunny in Delhi on Friday.
Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar
Northerly winds blowing at a speed to around 5 to 10kmph will not allow fog formation. Therefore flight operations will be on time. However, it will be cold with a minimum temperature of around 4 degrees.
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow
Lucknow airport will have moderate fog as winds are slowing down a bit. There is enough moisture for the formation of fog but that would not disrupt flight operations from the airport.
Lal Bahadur Shashtri International Airport, Varanasi
Moderate fog is expected in Varanasi due to relatively high moisture levels and slowing winds. Flight operations will not be affected at Varanasi airport. The sky will be partly cloudy.
Fog will again appear in Patna but its density will not be enough to affect airport operations. Partly cloudy sky will be witnessed in Patna.
Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata
Thick mist is expected at Kolkata airport but flights will remain on time. The airport could witness some clouds during morning hours and late afternoon.
Bengaluru International Airport, Bangalore
Flight arrivals and departures remain on time from Bangalore airport. Light rain is expected in Bangalore. The weather will be cloudy.
