New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday filed a supplementary charge sheet against Swami Aseemanand in the May, 2007 Mecca Masjid blast killing nine and injuring 58 people. According to a statement by ministry of home affairs, the charge sheet was filed in a Hyderabad court.
Assemanand, also accused in 2007 Samjhuata Express Blast, is presently lodged in a Panchkula jail. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which has earlier investigated the case, has filed charge sheet against Devender Gupta and Lokesh Sharma, both are in judicial custody. Two other accused identified as Sandeep Dange and Ramji Kalsangara are still absconding.
