Monsoon to pick up by end of June: IMD official

Mumbai: The monsoon will pick up by the end of this month, said an official at the weather office.
The monsoon will revive only after 20 June, deputy director general of India Meteorological Department (IMD) A.B. Mazumdar said on Thursday over the phone from Pune. “We will be able to give a date only after assessing the situation afresh," he said.
