According to Inside the Mind of the ‘Wired’ Mobile Phone Buyer, a report by digital marketing agency Webchutney, a majority of online mobile users intending to buy another handset use social networking websites for more than one hour a day, exchanging views and sharing feeback, comparing features and gathering information on products and services. The research found that 80% of online mobile phone users intend to purchase another handset, and they can afford to.

Some 81% of mobile owners logged onto the Internet earn up to R25,000 a month, indicating high buying power, said the report.
