Europe underestimates Ukraine’s place

Munich:Ukrain President Viktor Yushchenko said that Europe underestimates the role and place of Ukraine.

“Europe underestimates the role and place of Ukraine. This is a topic for discussion that is needed and should be prepared in the future," Yushchenko said at the Munich Security Conference on 10 February.

“Europe should speak in one voice. Then European policy will win both in the political and security spheres," he said adding that Ukraine was not rushing its accession to the European Union. Ukraine respects Europe’s feelings and problems connected with integration into Europe. Negotiations should allow Ukraine to identify a goal it will be striving to achieve, the President said.
