New Delhi saw a gathering of political and corporate bigwigs, throwing open an in depth debate on inclusive growth. The event, organized by the All India Management Association, saw home minister P. Chidambaram, urban development minister Kamal Nath and business leaders, like Nandan Nilekani, Rajeev Talwar, Rajiv Bajaj took the stage to highlight the challenges that India faces in terms of growth.
From lacking sanitation, poor education and health to infrastructure that leaves something wanting, the hurdles to be overcome were many; According to Chidambaram low poverty and a higher decline rate of poverty is an important indicator of inclusive growth.
But solutions weren’t far behind, with executives and CEOs pointing out economical ways of bringing about proper infrastructure.
