New Delhi: Mani Shankar Aiyar, Rajya Sabha member and former union minister of Panchayati Raj, on Thursday said the government needs to look into more inclusive growth to benefit the poor.
“India along with China were the only two significantly large economies which survived the downturn... Over the future, Indian and Chinese economy are likely to grow and major developing economies are likely to remain stagnant,” Aiyar said on the sidelines of a rural governance workshop.
Aiyar said there is no “comfort” in the finance minister saying outlays have increased as it does not necessary translate into outcome.
