New Delhi: Indian investment banks, Indian companies hiring for their global leadership programme, and fast-moving consumer goods companies or FMCGs formed the second cohort of recruiters who hired students on-campus at the Indian Institute of Management or IIM-A. The hiring took place over the weekend.
The school, in a statement, said regular recruiters such as TAS and Feedback Ventures offered general management and consulting roles and hired 6 students each. Other recruiters on campus were HUL, P&G, American Express, Standard Chartered and Nestle. The school said Nestle SA is in the process of hiring graduating students for its international management and sales training programme, the first time it is offering such roles.
The premier b-school has spread-out its hiring process over weekends, replacing the earlier system which ended in days. On the weekend which started 13 February, international consultancies and banks recruited at the school. Recruiters have estimated that on-campus hiring will be better than last year, but will no reach the euphoric levels of 2007 or 2008.
