New police commissioner of Delhi Alok Kumar Verma succeeds B.S. Bassi
New Delhi: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Alok Kumar Verma on Monday took charge as the new commissioner of Delhi Police at a time when it is battling mounting criticism over handling of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) row.
