New Delhi: The Capital’s suburb of Noida is planning a slew of projects including an automobile hub, a fashion enclave and a tourist destination in an effort to attract a burgeoning number of consumers who are willing to travel the distance to look for one-stop shops. Spread around 10 hectares in Noida’s Sector 105, along an expressway, the Auto-Mart will house offices, showrooms and driving institutes. Noida officials plan to attract car makers and accessories companies to open offices and showrooms there.
Noida Authority officials say they have received expressions of interest from seven consulting firms and have short-listed a Singaporean company and an Indian one. The authority will finalize one of the two firms this week that will design the Rs160 crore project.
